You know...
I don't spin or anything... so that would skew what I have to say here
if I did...
I love how dance music culture tends to put forth compilations moreso
than most other musical genre's. At least the way I buy my stuff I have
mostly comps, I'd say only about 10% of my CDs are all tracks from a
single artist. (but of course my vinyl is 90% single artist).
The variety is fantastic.
I'd also like to note how much this list has changed since 94ish, I
subbed off for a few years, now this has list has become a terrific
resource for me and branching out to musical genre's outside acid jazz.
(It also could have been that I simply didn't recognize any of the
non-acid jazz dialogue back then).
There seemed to be alot of non-music related dialogue back then too...
and that seems to have cleared up. I'm just impressed by the present
status of this list... and wanted to say so.
