Hey everyone. I picked up the Swollen Members (Jazz
Fudge) LP recently and have been spinning it non-stop
since. These boys rock nearly every track. Very
trippy, bouncy hip-hop at times. Other cuts are more
straight head nodders. It's definitely got that DJ
Vadim feel to it, although he doesn't produce any
tracks. Del guests on one track that sounds oh-so
Hieroglyphic. Kutmaster Kurt spins on another. Well
worth picking up, especially since there are very few
gems thus far during the summer.
Also grabbed Phoenix Orion's Zimulated Experience
album. All but one track is instrumental, experimental
hip hop. I guess it dropped last year. I like it. It's
along the lines of DJ Krush, a little less darker.
Heavy drums in parts. Pure butter.
I saw the Hive LP in the store the other day but
didn't know if it was worth grabbing. Any thoughts on
that?
