New Co-Host: KFJC's newest DJ, Optimus, will be joining me on

Album of the Week: The first solo album from Olu Dara, IN THE WORLD:
FROM NATCHEZ TO NEW YORK. After serving as a sideman on over 50
albums with the likes of Henry Threadgill, Sam Rivers, and Julius
Hemphill, Olu Dara finally steps into the spotlight with a wonder-
ful album tapping all his influences, from southern blues and jazz
to African and hip hop beats. It's comfort food for the ears.
