Is it a requirement that every 6 months we have a CD vs. Vinyl thread on
here?
Each media exists & is thriving because it appeals to certain people.
To each his (or her) own. Leave it at that.
Or go read the archives.
--- end rant ----
On a positive note, here are some new beats I just picked up that are
3xDope:
Victor Davies - Brother [label: Flipside] : anglo-brazilian vocals over a
mello housey samba beat
Afro Art Test - Move Ahead [label: Tart] : another fat afro-house-funk track
Frederic Galliano - Plis Infinis #4 [label: F Comm] : remixes by Tony Allen,
Aqua Bassino, & Move D. I just wanna say, DAAAAM! what the hell are those
french kids up to over there??? I need to go check out that scene! I wonder
what kind of underground beats are happening there that aren't even making
it stateside? any french kidz on the list care to share?
Louise Vertigo - Femme Fin de Siecle [label: Yellow] : remixed by Mighty
Bop, Bang Bang, Kid Loco. Need I say more?
A friend from Rio - Para Lennon and McCartney [label: FarOut ] : sweet
brazilian downtempo house on one side, nice lower tempo breakbeat on the
other, this one is slammin!
Skins, Metal, &Wood - Beats & Grooves [label: HipBone] : a super fresh lp of
2 percussionists jammin out some syncopated rhytms. Just beats, nuttin else.
My kinda joint!! there may be some info on www.hipbonerecords.com
that's it for now. . peace!
