woo hoo! my favorite subject. =) Occasionally i'll see some of them pop up
in the Dub Spot in NY but never see those dope early releases... they seem
to be forever out of my reach. If anyone for some strange reason wants to
part with any early NewBreed stuff please get in touch...

In answer to the DJ Smash question, he produced a track for Hagans (anyone
have more info on this artist/artists?) called "Slo Mo'" on Blue Note very
recently. Fat ass bass, somewhat minimal, screaming ominous trumpets. Really
good. Other than that i don't know about the other artists...

Subject: Once again- New breed!

dear list: Hey its been a whole year so here we go again! Another New Breed

Thread! I was listening to some of the later Fat jazzy grooves comps(on cd)
and going" Damn these guys were good. As stated previously they are
bankrupt. What of the artist? Why have none except Peter butter wolf( FJG #
11) resurfaced. Surely they had their own gear(in the bedroom ,natch!) So
how come they arent puttin down tracks. What of dj Smash. Even if a bankrupt

label can enforce a contract legally , as a practical matter , how are they
going to sue? And isnt goiong out of business breach on their part?
