Been workin and shoppin for music in Japan and California recently.

Don't miss out on Hybrid- definetly not AJ but amazing music.

CD

Various Artists "Samurai Era - 15 Lost Grooves from the Land of the Rising
Sun"
Essentially this is a project by Tokyo-based Bonjour Records to bring back
some Japanese Jazz from the 60's, 70's and 80's- much of which has been
forgotten. I think this is only purchasable at the store or the website
(www.bonjour.co.jp) Isao Suzuki, Zerosen, Kochi, George Kawaguchi & Art
Blakey, - very rare jazz. Very cool album. Even the packaging is
different- reminds me of vinyl packaging although it's a CD.

Phonophile 003 "Circles" mix CD by Jazzanova
Reviewed before and is excellent. Cal Tjader, UFO, 4Hero, Talvin Singh,
Quincy Jones- all on 1 CD!

Phonophile 004 "Night Trip" Mix CD by Toshio Matsuura
Reviewed before and is excellent. Not very UFO-ish per se but great.

Bossa Tres Jazz (Yellow)
Put together by Chris and Alain, this one is a great 2CD intro to the
Brazilian sound- via remixes by Bob Sinclair, MAW, and others. Classic tunes.

FJoJ #6- bought it, love it. I have most of the other ones and love them too.

VINYL
Ian Pooley "What's Your Number" single on vinyl (yeah!)

Pete Heller's "Big Love" (gotta have the dancefloor mover)

Hybrid "Wide Angle"
Read somewhere that Hybrid is "Massive Attack meets Paul Oakenfold" and
that's a testamant to how amazing this album is. Only import in the US, on
Distinct'ive Records. Julee Cruise does the lyrics and is amazing-
especially backed by the Russian Federal Orchestra.

Sensurreal "No White Clouds in My Blue Sky" (great trance on Immaculte Records)

If there's anyone on the list who likes pretty trance, please get in
touch! I'd love to trade thoughts on what/who is good.

If you go to Tokyo- don't miss shopping at Bonjour Records! I spent like 2
hours in there enthralled! That is definetly an AJ list store on steriods.
