This week’s new releases and restocks lists are now posted on our website
(www.groovedis.com). Starting later this week we will posting our personal
Top Ten lists (look in Charts) and also DJ mixes featuring many of the week’
s brand new releases (check in the Listening Booth). If you play a lot of
things we carry please contact us about posting your top ten lists or dj
mixes (or to link to your mix on another site).

The highlights this week (11/8/99) are:
Acid Jazz/Trip Hop: the long awaited debut album from Aim, two new
compilations from the Hedkandi label (who brought us Nu Cool and Serve
Chilled), new Major Force CD on Mo’ Wax, the When Shapes Join Together
compilation now in on vinyl, and last, but definitely not least, the brand
new album from the Dub Funk Association “Sounds Of The Heavyweight”—an album
that is getting airplay on college radio and reggae specialty shows across
the country and is being played by deejays Andy Smith, Gilles Peterson, DJ
Spooky and Acid Jazz label boss Eddie Pillar.

Drum & Bass: Accidental Heroes 12” on Emotif, killer new jazzy jungle 12” by
Landslide on Hospital, and a new 12” by Japanese drum & bass artist Surgizo
remixed by Grooverider.

Hip-Hop: the long awaited debut album from Aim with rappers AG, YZ and
Q-Ball with Curt Cazal, Cage 12” on Bad Magic produced by Mighty Mi of High
& Mighty, new DJ Bombjack 12”, Scratch Pervert Harry Love’s new 10” on
Apeman, dope Scottish hip hop from Reachout with Roots Manuva and new
Scratch Pervert DJ Plus One, and the When Shapes Join Together compilation
now in on vinyl.

House: Fire Island’s remake of “There But For The Grace Of God”, new 12” on
Slip ‘N Slide by Funky People, and the white hot “Don’t Call Me Baby” from
Australia’s Madison Ave.

Nu Skool Breaks: Darkglobe CD on Whole Nine Yards, the first new Elixir 12”
in 2 years, lots of Freq Nasty vinyl, Newcleus “Jam On Revenge” with remixes
by Bronx Dogs, Junior Cartier, Kirk DeGiorgio and lots more, hot new 12” on
Botchit & Scarper by T-Power called “Cuba”.
