glad to be back, I missed it!
Did anyone in the Netherlands go see the MAW in Rotterdam? I missed out..reviews please..

I didn't buy a lot lately, time was sparse, the new mos def is still in plastic but i already heard some snippets. I was busy with my band's party and cd (afro-brazilian percussion music).
For those of you who are still waiting for a cd...I've got my gear working again so if I owe you something please let me know and i will take care of it asap. Sorry for the delay.
My brazilian brother in arms and former listee, DJ Alexandre Tahira is still touring Europe from december 1st until january he will be visiting Spain, Portugal and Italy.
So if any of you in that area want to meet, supply him with tips on recordshops, clubs, have a gig for him etc, mail to me or to mailto:checkthesound@yahoo.com
Some more local info: every thursday night there's a jam sesion in Cafe de Twijfelaar in Rotterdam which is booming lately. people from across Europe take it to the mic and put down a groovy session. last week there were some people from senegal there on vocals and percussion, very nice..entrance only 2,50 nlg ($1)
Having been of the list for a while..is there any news on the acid-jazz list cd? or has it died slowly..?
