This week’s new releases and restocks lists are now posted. Also, if you
look in the Charts section you’ll see we now have several of our personal
top tens posted, hopefully in the next few days we will also have the first
of our dj mixes up (in the Listening Booth). These mixes will feature many
of the most recent records we carry so you’ll be able to hear what some of
them sound like.

The highlights this week (11/15/99) are:
Acid Jazz/Trip Hop: two new albums from fans of Brazilian jazz: the new Mr.
Hermano album from Disorient (the label behind the Showa 64 compilation) and
a new album from Azymuth out on Far Out (Brazilian Love Affair, Celia Vaz),
lots of old DJ Cam records have been re-pressed and are now in stock, a new
Mr. Gone CD on Internal Bass which is essential for fans of Down To The Bone
or 480 East, a new Le Tone single (with remixes spread over two different
12”s), and a tripped out Visit Venus-like record from Zero Theory-- his
debut on Catskills (Pepe Deluxe) .

House: Jockey Slut magazine’s Slut Trax label drops a filtered house single
by Disco Duck (with a remix by Lionrock’s Justin Robertson), the Fresh & Low
single that we had on white label finally gets a commercial release on Black
Vinyl, Justin Robertson takes a break from remixing to drop a new single as
Gentleman Thief on his own Master Detective label, a new Groove Armada
single (with a remix by Fat Boy Slim), a new Heller & Farley (aka Fire
Island) single called “The Rising Sun”, Monday Michiru’s “Yellow Bird”
remixed by Incognito, Mucho Macho’s single “Easy Livin” that features vocals
by jazz folk singer Jon Lucien goes from being an acid jazz song to being a
house track thanks to Ashley Beedle’s remix, white labels of the new Daryl
Pandy single under the guise Starphunk (with vocals by Ce Ce Rogers) are now
in stock, and a new single from Wall Of Sound house spin-off Nu Camp by
Vzions called “Feel Our Music”.

Nu Skool Breaks: two new singles on Hertz records with “Meltdown” by On
being truly outstanding, a new album from Bolshi by LHB, new Underworld
single “Bruce Lee” remixed by Micronauts, and the Blunted Beatz big beat
compilation (which features three CDs of music for the price of one!).
