Checked him last night in San Francisco, and it was wonderful. A five-piece
band plus an African woman singer. The singer and the percussionist were
both fabulous. If you've heard either of his albums, I'd say this was a bit
more beat-oriented than the records. Definitely good for dancing, or just
sitting and grooving. Galliano is only playing 3 or 4 dates in the States,
so I highly recommend you see him if you can. Given the poor turnout last
night in SF, he might not be back again. :-(
