DREEM TEEM TO TAKE A RADIO SABBATICAL
In a move effective from Nov 26th, the Dreem Teem have announced their
intention to take a complete break from their radio commitments.
For the past six months The Teem have presented a weekly Friday evening show
across the Galaxy Radio Network. They moved to Galaxy from an eighteen month
stint at Kiss 100 FM where they fronted a total of three weekly shows.
They have released the following statement through their label 4 Liberty's
Press Office:
" We have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our time at Galaxy radio, but
are exhausted from the punishing workload involved in promoting our hit
single 'Buddy X 99', our DJ'ing commitments, and working on our artist album
which we are releasing in the second half of Y2K.
Our intention is to take a short break from radio to regroup and recharge.
The Galaxy show has been instrumental in helping us to advance urban music
in the UK, and we are not taking this decision lightly. In order for us to
function fully at the highest level in radio, we need to devote the proper
amount of time required to produce a show we can all feel proud of. "
The Dreem Teem's final show across the Galaxy Network will air between 9pm -
11:00 pm on the evening of Friday 26th November. Galaxy's Group Programme
Director Keith Pringle went on record regarding the Teem's departure:
" Its been a privilege to have the Dreem Teem on the Galaxy Network, it's a
shame that their success has meant they had to pull back on the show, but of
course we know their music comes first and wish them the best of luck. "
