picked up this comp the other day,
and thought others might enjoy hearing it.

VARIOUS ARTISTS - SoulFood
a new comp from a new? label, Cookin' Records.
i guess this is the new acid jazz kinda stuff,
or what i've been sort of touch-in-cheek calling 'smooth jazz'.
similar in nature to the "Pork" sound, but with
a little more human, a little more... soul?
well, at least most of the artists have a real instrument
or two represented, which always, at least for me, adds a more
organic quality to the sound, and i've always been one for organics.
The latest FILA BRAZILLA record _A Touch Of Cloth_ has
some similarities with this record.
All instrumental, and full of rich bass grooves and scattered
trumpet, flute, sax, bongo, and maybe even a fender rhodes...
good music thats good feelin'
