i'm not sure if you already know this artist but i'll tell ya anyway:
i found a CD recently by an artist called David Axlerod which is kind of a
"best of" effort of the stuff he produced from 1968-70. He has been sampled
by shadow and recently done a remix of one of the tracks from the unkle
project. his stuff is mainly moody jazz vibes but the thing that seperates
his stuff from most for me is the beats... this geezer was waaaaay ahead of
his time. pure genius.
