I don't think this list has a very narrow definition of what is acid jazz
(and I hope it hasn't).
If people complain, tell them that Terry callier is signed on Gilles
Peterson's Talkin loud, the man who penned the owrd acid jazz.
I found a terry Callier LP in japan (on Cadet). I forgot the title (but it
has a wonderful black lady on the cover). It contains a track whose bass
line has been sampled by Urban Species on their song Listen.
BTW, is it worth investigating the records release by urban species last
year???

terry callier is great! unfortunately is sound has been comprimised
slightly over the last 2 lps, he could never match "the new folk sound
of...". he done some shows recently in london at the jazz cafe and grown
men were literally reduced to tears due to the power of his singing voice.
it's not really acid jazz though is it? so i'll shut up...
