according to his interview in the university of nottingham student
newspaper, acid jazz was coined by our own gilles peterson - pretty much for
a laugh during the days of the acid house hype in the mid/late eighties. the
story goes that he was playing with paul oakenfold (i think) who was
spinning jackin chicago house and he said: well if that's acid house, this
is acid jazz... and the rest is history.
