dear list: just did an order with dustygroove and got some stuff. as an
experiment I got 1 german and one Italian comp.I know primo hates them and
others swear b(uy) them. I tried it to see if there was honest funk to be
had on these eurotrash comps especially since Geofff or Portishead
mentioned liking these fims(italian). Well i gotta say the DEwolf
sampler(Bite Hard) was immediately impressive . it had breaks and grooves.
The italian one(barretta 70) had vocals so it had less sampling area to
work with.It hasnt grabbed me yet but i was giving it a cursory listen. I
would like to see these movies though. How common are they in the Uk ? was
Geoff typical or do you have to search out this stuff? Btw "Message form the
tribe" has been on the site for years its a sleeeper and a keeper .Its not
spriritual or free jazz its actually funky. and very ..."usable"
