This is what I'm feeling right now:
"Maurice Fulton presents Boof: the mud duck e.p." check out the track "Life
is Water". Builds up slowly to an insane idjut boys-esque beat. Just makes
me want to shake my ass.
"David Mancuso presents: The Loft" (Nuphonic - _the_ dopest record label in
my opinion). Contains garage classics from NYC's "The Loft". If you've got
the Jumpin' compilations from Harmless, or if you dig the "Spaced Out"
compilation from Mr. Bongo, definitely pick this up. Now if only I could
pick up the Larry Levan presents Paradise Garage comp. I've also heard that
Strut is going to release one of Larry Levan's DJ sets from the Paradise
Garage (out in October, according to SNC). Can't wait for this either.
"Henry Street Music/The Story So Far" haven't listened to it yet, but it's
on BBE, so you know it's on point.
"Lee Fields: Let's Get a Groove on" been searching for this for a while.
Haven't listened to the whole CD yet, but I've heard "Let a Man Do what he
wanna do" and it's bad, bad, bad!! If you're into funk, definitely pick
this one up.
Anyone else pick up any new stuff lately?
