Hello folks. I am from Philadelphia USA and am going on a bit of a mission
(for the first time) to venture across the pond with a bag and a ticket.
It's basically music driven mission... I want to check out all of these
places i've heard so much about (blue note, jazz cafe, bar rhumba, speed,
etc.) I want to check out Giles Peterson's 'Thats How it Is' , i'd really
like to see Rainer Truby (does he do a weekly?), Jazz Bistro with Patrick
Forge and Bob Jones (still happening? or some derivative thereof?), check
out some underground hip hop / turntablist nights, jungle, and any jazz funk
goings on. Other than a couple things here and there, i am pretty much
*clueless*, so any direction along the lines of weekly nights as well as
events would be much appreciated. I am planning on flying into London,
hitting Amsterdam and making my way over to Italy. It's all pretty up in the
air right now. This is going down from October 10th till the first week in
November.

I've been doing a fair amount of research and planning etc. But figured my
best resource for this type of thing was like-minded individuals like
yourselves! =) Anyone with record store shopping info, event info, tips on
stuff to bring, travel tips, places to crash, or anyone who just wants to
hook up and have a drink shoot me out a private mail. Also anyone has a slot
for a guest dj on their night, that would obviously be the ultimate. Thanks
so much for your time...

see ya'!
