I believe there's 2 LP's by Chakachas on Polydor. One is Live, too. I've
seen 'em on Dusty Groove', Rare Groove Records (Uk), and a few others in
40-75 price range.
What about Mandingo, Mombassa 2, and Harlem River Drive's 1st. I'd like
to find them for $50 or less. OK Collecters, DJ's, Rare Groove
historians. I need some info on Jackson Sisters, whats LP's do they
have, what label, price??? I know they were from Calif. in mid-70's.
And basement jaxx sampled their tune 'Miracles' for their remix. Please

One of the best cuts on Russ Dewbery's awesome _Club Africa_ compilation is
"Ritual", by Nico Gomez & His Afro Percussion Inc. The liner notes say
this is the same band as Chakachas, & that they also recorded as "El
Chicles" (sic). I know there's a _Ritual_ album by Gomez et al.; anyone
know anything further discographical info about Nico, El Chicles, or
whatnot?
Questions, questions, questions: anyone spotted the new Cymande double-CD
from Sequel, _The Message_, in stores? Did they squeeze the complete
recorded output onto it, as I'm hoping?
Lastly, anyone seen/have any news on the Lafayette Afro-Rock Band
compilation from Strut?
