It's our 1 year anniversary so we decided to host a party which will
attempt to bring to the forefront environmental issues that are of concern
to our community, and local Toronto urban music artists that have yet to be
heard from. The concept of "FRESH AIR" combines ideas of Fresh Thinking and
Fresh Musical Styles understanding that this city needs a breath of fresh
air, not only physical sense, but also musically. The event will also be
SMOKE FREE, and we will try to create an environment where everyone can
take a break from the polluted air we breathe.
With proceeds going to the OCAA (Ontario Clean Air Alliance) as well as
sponsorship from CIUT 89.5, CKLN 88.1, CHRY 105.5 and NOW MAGAZINE we
invite you to another guaranteed slamming party. With this collaboration we
are trying to create awareness about air pollution concerns that are
plaguing our communities not only in Toronto, but also across Ontario.
Currently in Ontario air pollution kills 1800 people each year with
numerous more suffering from respiratory ailments that are directly caused
by poor air quality. With this event we would like to promote alternative
lifestyles that are more environmentally friendly such as using public
transit, and being less car dependant. With decisions that we make as a
whole community we will hopefully be able to create FRESH AIR in an urban
environment. Come to our event and celebrate in a welcoming environment
where good music and good health will combine to become a hype night.
Fresh Air will feature the amazing talents of Rosina and murr from the
highly respected LALcrew. As well as break technician DonRay with vocalist
Stach as Maxelle Plus turntable wizards M-rock and Junior Flow as the Funky
Teknicianz And breathtaking beatbox artist RADAR will be captivating
everyone with his superhuman vocal rythmatics.
DJ's juggling wax will be... Paul E. Lopes from Wha?naut records spinning
raregrooves. Kevin Johnson aka KJ from Soul-Fusion Express on 88.1Fm
spinning garage house. Frankie Gunns and Moonstarr spinning jungle. Dave
Cooper and Joel Richmond will be spinning deep house with soul rhythm
specialist Guru Prasad, Plus Stach and Logic spinning hip hop. As well as
