The highly acclaimed British band The Herbaliser make
their first appearance in Atlanta on Wednesday,
September 22 at the Cotton Club. They are promoting
their third full-length release _Very Mercenary_
(Ninja Tune). Atlanta got its first taste of the
Herbaliser last year during the 1998 Ninja Tune
Funkungfusion tour, when Herbaliser DJs Ollie and Jake
gave the promising crowd a set of amazing turntable
antics and old school revelry. This time around, they
come equipped with the whole band, which includes a
live rhythm section, bass, keys, and more.

Roots Manuva is the first act to release an album on
the Ninja Tune hip hop-centric spin-off label, Big
Dada. Expect lyrical and stage mastery by this
longtime staple of the UK hip hop/jungle/dancehall
scene.

DJ Touche of The Wiseguys brings his crate of body
rocking wax to display world-class turntable skills
and an uncanny ability to move crowds. His album _The
Antidote_ is being released stateside to critical
praise, backed by months of momentum created by the
single "Ooh La La," one of the anthemic dancefloor
fillers from last year in the UK. From an infamous
British Budweiser commercial to licensing in Adam
Sandler's _Big Daddy_ soundtrack to a legendary
turntable battle with Norman "Fatboy Slim" Cook, The
Wiseguys are on the verge of stateside stardom.
Rightly so.
