Don't try, it's a must! I know I've gone on
about B&S way too much, and yes, the price went
up just a little while ago, but I have not stopped
thinking about it since I went. I've been on
a mad quest to track down songs that I heard there,
with relative success. The unique atmosphere allows
songs which would otherwise be "pop" fodder or
simply forgotten to transform themselves into
amazing anthems.

Ex: "Try Jah Love" by Third World. I would *never*
have listened to this song had I not heard it at
B&S, not even if someone gave me the CD! But the
song is amazing!

Also, everyone make sure you check out the Claussel/
Sydenham mix of Beth Orton ("Central Reservation"),
which does a wonderful job at preserving the spirit
of the original while easily moving a folk-type song
into a dance format. Some thought Cesaria Evora didn't
work very well (there's another remix of her coming soon)
but I think that the Beth Orton track (both the original
and the Spiritual Life/Ibadan remix) is amazingly
beautiful. When heard at Body & Soul, it's enough to
make one cry.
