Haven't heard that track, Jason. "Friends from Rio" is a sort of Brazilian
all-star band put together by DJ/producer Joe Davis. The track they do has
writing credits from Lo Borges, Fernando Bryant, and Marcio Borges. Vocals
are by a lady named Clareace. That's about all I can tell you.
But speaking of things Brazilian, I was just checked out a new release from
Knitting Factory Classics, BRAZIL by Charlie Rouse. You can hear an mp3'd
track from it at the KnitFac web site, www.knittingfactory.com. Sounds
great to me! Knitting Factory are doing an amazing job with their new
"classics" line, plus all the rare stuff they're making available only on
the net, via Liquid Audio. Everyone should check them out.
