.... I know, I know, y'all thought that pesky d'angelo thread was over and
done with. Well, I finally got my copy of Voodoo, have listened .... and
damn, this shit sounds soooo good to my ears. I'm moved, and I have to
write. Even if I'm a month late. :-) Obviously, there were lots of
different expectations about this release. Most tunes live up to whatever
expectations I had. But even better than that -- some tunes (in
particular, "Africa") are so damn heavy and beautiful that I'm sure they're
gonna change the grounds on which I base my expectations in the future. I
can't ask for much more than that.
If Ralph is on point, and that Common LP is anything near as good as
Voodoo, then .... well, I'm excited anyway!!
