why does gilles have an mc? hopefully someone can clue me into the point.
i heard gilles in l.a. and i thought what's up w/that mc? i've owned some
galliano stuff in the past and dug it (so it's not that i don't like rob),
but he needed to get off the mic--he was talking over vocals!!
gilles is a dj in all senses of the word, folks. He's starting to
beatmix--and sounds like it (but who didn't when s/he started)--and frankly
his non-mixed transitions are still the biz!! he was actually doing some
cuts (drop-ins--he's not quite scratching yet), and some other tricks to
mold the tunes to his ends--i could tell, cuz i *own* some of the records he
played.
