In Japan, singles CDs are alive and well. They're filled w/
cheesy pop music; packaged in tall, slim, fold-out things; and
sold at inflated prices to the misguided public. Often, instead
of buying, you go to a video/cd rental shop and rent for a few
days. Before you have to return them, you make copies of those
songs onto some minidiscs. No one seems to terribly mind this.
