    OK, a very important point needs to be made here. The chops needed to turn your love of music from a hobby to a job are not the same as the skills needed to turn your music from crap noise to good music.

    What the new technology will do, hopefully, is allow those skilled musicians who aren't as well versed in the ass-kissing, soul-destroying, prostitutorial arts often necessary to get a record deal or big distribution a chance to get their music heard.

    OK, I'm done throwing flames. Time to chill to some Horace Silver, who's made about 1 20/th of the money of Vanilla Ice and Bon Jovi.... what a world.
