Gees,
I can't believe this discussion has led to this. Get it straight man.
Dirk has been contributing a hell of a lot more than many others on this
list. Given his career is in the distribution business, it is not at all
a surprise that he talks about what he loves, or what he thinks is good,
which tends to be stuff none of us might have heard yet cos it's still on
it's way to the record shops. So that's where GrDis fits in. I don't mind
his aditorials or however you wish to put it. Simply, he is putting
effort like all the other guys in trying to talk about new music!!
Unless, Dirk works for country music, then keep up the contributions Dirk.
It's not a sin that he receives his promos either. Not everyone has that
privilege I agree, but face the fact that whatever work anyone is in,
there is a certain advantage that comes with the job. You work in a
mobile phone company and you get cheap phones. You work at Kentucky Fried
Chicken and you get to take all the cooked chicken at the end of the day.
So is it correct to rip into the guy who is at the counter serving you
cos you have to pay full price. Get real!
We like to see where you work and what benefits you get bud.
