I've gotta say I've fallen in love with the new du. Do you remember
how long it took to really really love "Baduizm". It wasn't a first
time, first love affair. Not for me anyway. It was the days, weeks,
months taht i spent playing and listening to that album that made me
love it. "Mama's Gun" does not sound like "Baduizm". ?uestlove's hard
driving live but digital sounding drums have been replaced by loose
and jazzy and more organic ones. There's a lot mote instruments
involved. The sound and feel of the album is more complex and yet
more relaxed and lighter. I'm in love with you.
