The first time I heard Wookie was in an early 2Step comp with his track "What's
Going On?" At first it was very uneasy to listen to (they messed with Soul II
Soul, how COULD they?!?!) to the point of me being embarassed to hear it aloud
(via MP3s in my office). THEN I found out he was the same guy who did "Battle"
and "Scrappy" and gave it a second chance.

I think I heard the name "Wookie" a couple years back, probably on this list. I
know he did some drum n bass stuff previously. Or maybe I got it mixed up with
another artist with a Star Wars reference...

     He loves the bass,

Trivia: "VCF" stands for "voltage controlled-filter." It's an element on analog
synthesizers that gives a sound its major tonal characteristics - it ether makes
a bass sound go, "Mmmmmmm" or "Owww" or "EEEEEAAAwwww."
Sounds like Wookie's a synth freak. Don't ask him where he'll be spinning, cos
he told me personally (via email) he doesn't DJ.

    Another Wookie fan!

I'll check this out. A couple friends recommended this to me so I'll definitely
be on the look out for this. Is it true they got real jazzy 2-step on there?
