The weather's been quite pleasant here just lately.
Unlike the UK from what I hear.
I'm no clubber but some spots you might want to look at include
Chameleon, Sonar and Lotus, where they will probably offer a more nutritious
fare
than the countless techno/house discos.
For live/alt music and a small groovy scene to have a couple pints
definitely go hang out at the Railway and/or Marine Clubs.
The Cellar for live jazz.
Try to catch a show at the fabulous Commodore Ballroom (www.hob.ca for
listings).
Bassix and Scratch for vinyl.
Zulu and Highlife for alt/world.
Van has the world's cheapest (commercial) CD's and more good restaurants
than you could ever get around to.
A few suggestions to get you started.
But I hope you're not leaving Europe for Vancouver to seek out the culture!
The mountains are ready for you though.
