for what it's worth.
I bought some Sennheiser headphones at the advice of my
brother, and I'm quite happy with them. I have the HD 470
(which is in the $60 range), so it's not quite comparable
to the higher end headphones you're considering.
I am happy with them, though. They are the best headphones
I've owned thus far, although that's not saying much.
