"I Changed My Mind" as allso available on 2x7" (in a (blacka-)DElicious
gatefold sleeve. It has vocal and instrumental remixes by Andy Votel +
instrumentals og the remixes by DJ Spinna and 2 Poets. Its definetly worth
checking out!
>Now, I have heard about the Mos Def peice where he sings,
He sings on atleast two tracks on his album ("black on both sides").. "Umi
Says" (which kinda reminds me of Barrington Levis' "the vibes is right") and
"rock'n'roll". He's no Marvin Gaye, but its still pretty damn nice :)
>and just
>saw the Kid Rock video where he's singing into the vocoder. What's

Check the "Spectrum" compilation from Quannum (where "i changed my mind" is
from)... Lyrics Born allso sings on the track "Hott People" and both Gift Of
Gab (blackalicious) and Lateef (Latyrx) comes pretty close to singing on
both "Spectrum" and on the Blackalicious' "Nia" (which by the way is the
best album of 99 as far as im concerned!).
Abstract Rude, Zulu and Irie (aka Abstract Tribe Unique) sings alot... check
their three albums "mood pieces", "underground fossils" and "south central
think tank" (out on Oceanfloor Records)... i allso have some freestyles on
tape where both Abstract Rude and Aceyalone sings. Uhm..oh yeah, check Haiku
De'Tat (abstract rude, aceyalone, mikah 9 + a live band)... theres some
singing on their 12" "Los Dangerous" (it even includes a coverversion of
Marley's "Kaja"!).. theres a Haiku De'Tat album on its way and im guessing
there will be some singing on that one too.
