from what i hear, nothing should get lost in the merger with emusic. i
think they've even got a promotion going where if you download $50 of music
you get a free portable mp3 player, and if you download $25, you get a pair
of slamming pc speakers. i should know these (full disclosure--my company
has a business relationship with emusic) but don't remember exactly. if you
have trouble finding the good tracks on emusic, try our site and check out
the electronica/dance/acid-jazz "listen picks" on www.listen.com ; those are
    some of our strongest areas....

    Hi All,

Did anyone else hear about this? CDuctive.com just
merged with Emusic.com, and everything will now be a
download away. That is, if they transfer all the
tracks over(I hope nothing gets lost in the shuffle).
Also, not everyone can do the MP3 thing just yet, so
now I have to get a new computer to be able to run an
    MP3 player(this old 75MHZ pentium 1 from 1995 won't
even run real audio G2!!), and I have to wait for
either cable modems or DSL to come to my neighborhood.
I just hope everything comes out in the wash. In the
meantime, it's all just another part of the big
    waiting game. Cross your fingers.

    Take Care-----Paul Berger---
