Hello list,
My name is Lauren and I am a currently a journalism student here in
Hawaii. I have been lurking on the list for about half a year, and have
enjoyed most of the informative bits all of you have shared. I open my
ears to all forms of musical expression from hip-hop, to jazz, to
jungle, to hardcore punk, and reggae.
Anyway, I wanted to start a thread about everyones favorite jazz labels,
groups, websites, and what have you. Here are some artists and labels
that I enjoy, perhaps, you could steer me toward similar sounds....
MPS label - great german label, truly great

Flying Dutchman label - really dope stuff, though there were are few
misses throughout the years, must of the material on this label is
