27. From Wales. London 90-94. In Brooklyn since 94.
Spent a lot of teen time at Martha's, Swansea (particularly Monday nights
with Jeff Thomas). Introduced me to Jackson Sisters, Roy Ayers, New Jersey
Queens (Party And Don't Worry Bout It)...
...and then along came Diana Brown and Barrie K Sharpe with The Masterplan
and all of a sudden new music was interesting as well.
These days deeply immersed in jazz. But this list remains a source of great
interest for me.
