This week’s list is now posted on our website (www.groovedis.com) . Just a
couple of new releases this week as most of our suppliers overseas still
haven’t fully recovered from Y2K. The next few weeks will be much better
with some big releases due in by the end of the month or early Feb. Even
though there aren’t many new releases this week there are quite a few
restocks so be sure to check the restocks list for new additions.

Highlights This Week (1/10/2000):
House: New on Defected Eddie Amador drops his new single with mixes split
over two separate 12”s and featuring remixes from FUTURE SHOCK and DEEP
DISH, r&b crooner Donell Jones gets the house remix treatment courtesy of
Jeremy B on the UK only 12” release of his hit “U Know What’s Up”, and a
great new Latin-flavoured house single by Anton that sounds (to me) like
Smoke City doing disco house with a male vocalist. Quite tasty. Also check
Nate’s warehouse finds for some killer old house tracks on sale.

Hip Hop: restocks on the Roots’ first album “Organix”, the Beastie Boys’ new
UK only 10” “Alive”, and the King Of The Beats III compilation (which we
sold out of almost immediately when we first got it before Christmas).

Acid Jazz: Not new, but new to us we are now carrying a couple of the
Rebirth Of Cool albums (the ones that are still in print) on vinyl. We also
have restocks on the excellent Mr. Bird single on Hertz. A cool EP with
tracks that rival anything out on Pork or Ninjatunes. Lastly, we also have
some more of the white label Brand New Heavies 12” “Apparently Nothing”
which features two remixes NOT scheduled to appear on the commercial 12”(s)
due out soon. Essential for fans of the Heavies or their new vocalist
Carleen Anderson (ex-Young Disciples).

Breaks: Only one new record this week, but it’s a biggie—white label copies
of Fat Boy Slim’s “Another Phat For Ya”. A reworking of One Phat Deeva’s “In
And Out”. Also there are some nice 12”s on sale along with restocks on the
BT CD, the whole TCR catalog (including advance triple pack copies of the
forthcoming Waveform album), and Wayward Soul (aka Tony Thorpe of the Moody
Boys) and Divine Styler’s latest 12” “PMT”.

Also please let us know what you think of our new look and menu layout.
