AJ Listers,

I have seen Nile Rodgers' interviewed a couple of times on VH-1's "Where are
they Now" program one was dealing with Studio 54 and Duran Duran. In the
Duran Duran interview Nile Rodgers said Disco was so fresh and so primal.
Being born in 62 did I miss something here? Disco Fresh? Disco Primal? On
the Studio 54 program Nile said that Disco was purposely victimize. I have
seen flashes of Disco come and go and the genre doesn't annoy me as much as
it did when it first appeared. Now I can here a song from those artist and
sometimes I smile from remember being the only guy who could dance at my
High School Dances. Hell I like the stuff better now than I did then. So I
wonder what Nile means when he talks about Disco. Can anyone out there tell
me the first time they heard Acid Jazz in a Disco song or a R&B song? I
think the first time I heard Acid Jazz inflected in Disco or R&B was Brick's
"Dazz" if you have never heard of it look for the long extended version.

"Everybody Come on and Dance if you want to",
"Music makes your body move",
"Well Alright!",... Brick's "Dazz"

Pondering,
Semper Motociclismo,

Pace'
