I was there too... Basement Jaxx finished with Samba Magic, and it was
really perfect. I was tired after too much jumping & dancing...
I have to say that I really liked the set (very very good choice of tracks)
but i would have appreciated a "smoother" set. They did not really mix
tracks but put strange noises + talking + voice samples in between tracks.
This was balancved by a very high level of energy and enthusiasm.
My question to the AJ list (and Calvin). They played a track mixing reggae
and house. I haven't hear anything similar. Anyone here knows of good
examples of such reggae/house hybrids (execept the overplayed "sun is
shining" by Bob Marley and Funkstar deluxe).
