Yeah, i think that was in the documentary "I'll Make
Me A World" which was mentioned in the article posted
earlier today. It's a 2-part thing on afr-am artistic
acheivement in the 20th century. I saw it last year,
i think i have it on tape, and I liked it a lot. I
learned a lot. It traces different time periods via
different disciplines and what they were doing at that
time. Like, its discussion of the late 70s/early 80s
is mostly about what was happening in literature and
feminism, and the 90s focuses on spoken word and the
influence and power of the internet. I'd imagine PBS
will re-air it during Black History Month.
