    My word.

Pork is one of the most amazing labels ever. I've ransacked just about the
entire collection from Fila to Baby Mammoth on down. "One.....Two....Freak"
is very tight in the typical Baby Mammoth vein (it's in my CD player now),
"Bridging Two Worlds" has less flesh to it. "Another Day at the Orifice" got
me hyped on Baby Mammoth in the first place, and is so good that my Ace's two
little boys (5 and 7) love it. Literally, you cannot go wrong. I must admit,
however, that I was not very impressed with the samples from Akotcha. Not
organic enough. There is one group that stands out head and shoulders above
the rest (which is really hard considering Fila, Baby Mammoth, Bullitnuts, The
Solid Doctor, et. al. are all on the label). The name almost prevented me
from choosing it during my hyper-spree: Heights Of Abraham's "Humidity".

Typical of much of the material discussed on the list, HofA almost defies
characterization. Smooth chill jazzy downtempo to be sure, but there is a
melodiousness and a bump to HofA that's not as evident in most of Pork's other
material. It's one of Steve Cobby's earlier offerings, with crazy smooth
vocals by Jake Harries...Sim Lister is on sax. The liner notes are really
slim on my disc- it may be a re-issue, cuz it was written and released in '93
and '94 respectively. My favorite cut is "Still Waiting", which fits any day,
    any mood, any spot.

If I were y'all, I'd pick it up now! Hope the words are of value...

    LG
