Ok, fellow Sade lover, here's 10 "must haves", imho, in the acid-jazz / r&b
    vein;

    1. Headhunters. The Headhunters.
(The all time acid jazz classic)

    2. Erykah Badu. Baduizm
(You probably know about her... great album... a classic)

    3. Miles Davis. Kind of Blue
(What can be said? You can chill to this one every night for 2 semesters!)

    4. Mos Def. Black On Both Sides
(The most musical of rappers; also check "Things Fall Apart" or other stuff
from the Roots... for when you're feeling slightly agressive.)

    5. D'Angelo. Voodoo
(Especially if you live in a co-ed dorm!)

    6. Sweetback. Sweetback
(n.b. Sade's band in effect here, if you don't have it already. Excellent
    chill out record.)

    7. Bahamadia. Kollage
(Imperfect, perhaps, but sweet. Look for the new one coming soon, if not
    already)

    8. Maxwell. Urban Hang Suite.
(Produced in part by Stuart Matthewman of Sade... great first effort)

    9. Black Eyed Peas. Behind the Front
(Party hiphop. They also have a new one out. Also check out Jurassic 5)

Oh shoot, we're down to the last one already? Well, you've still got DJ
Shadow, "Preemptive Strike" and "Endtroducing", the Brand New Heavies,
Guru's Jazzmatazz, the Herbalizer, Carl Craig, NuYorican Soul... aw, there's
just too much greatness out there! So, for number 10 I'll pick out another
    chill out album

    10. 4 Hero. Two Pages.
(Mellow, meticulously produced and extra melodic with some d&b rhythms)
