BTW, this is off-topic, but the Los Angeles Times this past Sunday did a cover
story in their Calendar (arts & entertainment) section on the big pop music
megaproducers, like Max Martin (the person to blame for Britneystreet 'Nspears),
and Rodney Jerkoff, er, I mean Jerkins, who implanted the cheesy General MIDI
synth preset guitar arpeggio sound on 87% of all pop/R&B songs and used
sophisticated digital audio apparatus to make Jennifer Lopez appear to sing.
Anyway, it also talks about the redefinition of the term "producer" (as compared
to classic archetypes (George Martin, Phil Spector, Quincy Jones). It's
interesting reading though:
