while i'm sure that people go to hear gilles play new or newly unearthed
gems, they still dig hearing a tune they know. i don't remember if you dj
kurt, but crowds can have a great time dancing to music they don't
know--like gilles' regulars--but if you drop in a well-timed "hit" that's in
the bag of what genre you've been playing, crowds LOSE IT!! (try it
sometime...)
