ironically, i have on my "synkronized" concert t-shirt today.
i didn't think synkronized was the best thing since sliced bread,
but there were some good songs on there. also, it wasn't immediate
gratification: i.e. "wow this album was good"; it was more like, "
Am I missing something?; I need to listen to this some more."
Nevertheless, "where do we go from here" is one of my favorite
jamiroquai songs.
however, "king for a day" is one of my least favorite; i detest this song.
"space cowboy" is still my favorite jamiroquai album.
what bothers me most about this album is that stuart zender (the bassist)
is not on this record, and he was my favorite of the jamiroquai bunch.
i know a lot of people don't like jamiroquai on this list, but i've been a
jamiroquai fan from the very beginning. And along with my betty davis cds,
I'd definitely have to have some jamiroquai cds on a deserted island.
I saw them first for their emergency on planet earth tour
before virtual insanity made them famous stateside.
so I've respected them from the beginning and still respect the band even
though they are "commercial" now. I know some people tend to dump bands once
they get commercial recognition, but if the songs are good. the songs are good.
for example, the mos def album still gets a lot of play from me today
even though he is no
longer really underground. does that make his album sound worse? i don't think
so, but these are just my opinions.
