Hey marco,
I feel so sorry for you. Having to come to Seattle. What will you do? It's
80 degrees right now, the punk metal scene has been dead for about five
years and club culture is pretty vibrant. We have all kind of shows coming
through from the Respect Party (from France) next week to Giles Peterson and
the whole Giant Steps crew. On a weekly affair there are a whole lot of club
nights and if you are into the eclectic scene then Saturdays is your night.
The Night is called Lick It and it is in the heart of Downtown Seattle.
Three Floors with everything from Hip Hop and House and your truly on the
top floor spinning everything from downtempo to drum and bass with live
musician accompaniment. As for radio shows every Saturday and Sunday on KCMU
90.3 FM we have a show called Expansions with your hosts Nasir, Riz and
Masa. On the record label tip Seattle is the home of Sweet Mother Records
check out my website at www.sweetmother.com
For an overview of the dreary city check out this months issue of URB. It's
not bad here. You will have fun. Come and say hi if you get a chance.

Subject: kind of OT: Seattle
Hi everybody.
Unfortunately, I have to move to Seattle very soon, and, as I am not a big
fun of punk metal, I'm not particularily
happy about it. So, if you happen to know of
acidjazz-hiphop-soul-funk-raregroove-jazz-brazilian-latin-house-related
places and events in Seattle (record stores, clubs, etc.), or of anything
else fun in that grey and rock-oriented
city (or in the Pacific Northwest in general), could you please let me know,
so I will feel a little bit better?
Thanks a lot!
Marco
