Worldwide is one name for two radio shows hosted by Gilles Peterson
himself: one broadcasted each and every Wednesday by the BBC Radio 1
in the UK and the other recorded and broadcasted by various radios
and Internet sites around the globe.
The Gilles Peterson's World:wide Unofficial Page was set up at the end
of the Summer '99 by Davide 'Zino' Viti & Marco 'Sakato' Dalla Vecchia.
After more than a year of listening, researching and spending crazy
money on Gilles' recommended albums, we thought it was time to share
with other people our passion for good music.
The GPWW site ( http://gpww.iscool.net ) offers the following features:
- Mailing List: subscribe and we'll fill your mailbox with the playlist
of the most recent show on a weekly basis.
You can use it as a source of ideas (inspiration) for your dj-set,
mix tape or you can take it to your average record store and witness
the weird reaction of the shop keeper when you ask him about one of
the listed songs!
Don't worry, your e-mail address is safe with us.
- Playlist: updated playlists from the last two shows, a touch of retro
with a playlist from last year and last but not least the huge
collection of more than 100 playlists ranging from early 1995 up to
the latest one.
