Tom Jones definitely gets my vote as one of the fonkiest cats to shake it.
I like his cover of Prince's "Kiss" better than the original, and although
he's probably the most macho guy to ever hit a stage, he always did it with
tongue placed firmly in cheek. I've seen old footage of him performing
"Everyday People" with Sly Stone, and believe me, there was a lotta mutual
respect going on. I've spoken to people who really dislike Tom Jones pretty
intensely, but u gotta hand it to him, at least he's got the balls to shake
it the way he does. I figure that anyone that's gonna be that overtly
sexual and macho onstage is bound to catch some flak.
