Oh my God!!! This was the BEST party in the world. I met Gilles
Peterson, a very nice guy. MJ Cole played an amazing set of two step
garage (Classics). He was very cool and made a connection toward him and
the UK Garage scene. Also hooked up wit UK's Locked on and Dreem Teem
label/mgmt. Jazzanova played an amaZING mix of samba, jazzy 2 step, and
the highlight was Courdoroy's classic "Something in my Eye". Peter
Kruder rocked the crowd with some bass heavy funky breakbeats, deep
future soul, and latin grooves. Rainer Truby blew my mind wit his
collection of all styles of jazzy, funky, dubby, brazillian beats. Then
in the other room (smaller), Norman Jay pumped up some classic garage
and boogie classics, and house. Roni Size was the very special guest,
and I met him. He was trying to keep it on the down low, cool guy.
Missed most of his set. :( I got two rolls of film of this party, I hope
they come out.
A very special time & the packed crowd was loving the vibe and the MC's
rocked it London JAZZ style.
Big ups 2 Talkin Loud and Gilles!!!!!
Anyone else attend WMC. I need some SLEEEP!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!
