In the context of what is flowing around in the seemingly
deepless oceans of musical creativity, EG Straight Ahead, Goodlookin
´records and Cookin to name some, I sort of found Inward Journey
to be less daring and uplifting as on some of the productions
of LTJ´s skilled hands.
I followed the discussion on AJ centering around
the MC´s and their, at times, overwhelming role in
the event. When LTJ was in Copenhagen, Vega I sort
of fiound it gruelling boring admist beautiful soundscapes
and rhytmpatterns, to listen to the rambling of Blame (?)
*ups - stoned again*
Never the less I can highly recommend digging out the
abovementioned labels since they hold tracks in the range
from jazzy drum N bass over tranquillizing soundscapes to pure
- well, Inwards Journeys.
The groove is always the most important.
Different people - different grooves.
Bear in mind that we are witnessing so many
crossover acts and subgenres expressing them
selves in so many forms. All of a sudden the
terminology for categorizing these sub genres stops.
Or so it should since it is more relevant to talk
about; The groove as a common point of reference.
